Bell
Priscilla Bell enjoyed 33 successful years as a band director and recently retired from Pearland ISD. Previously, she was the Director of Bands at middle schools in Cypress Fairbanks, Birdville, and Dimmitt ISD. During those years, Ms. Bell was humbled to be awarded teacher of the year, lead a program to become a TMEA State Honor band finalist and serve as the Region 5 Middle School Band Chair. Her performing ensembles were consistent UIL Sweepstakes and Best in Class award winners at contests and festivals.
Currently, Ms. Bell is working at the University of Houston teaching the MUED Woodwind and Brass Technique Courses as well as a University Supervisor over student teachers. She has had the privilege to judge at every level of the TMEA Honor Band process and is an active adjudicator in Texas. Ms. Bell began working with The Docentus Group in 2022. She enjoys providing program insight that allow band directors to further develop their programs.
Ms. Bell completed her Music Education degree with honors from University of North Texas, studying flute with Dr. Mary Karen Clardy. Her professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association as well as being a member of the Alpha Chapter of the International Bandmaster’s Fraternity, Phi Beta Mu.
Priscilla resides in downtown Houston with her husband Tom, enjoying live music and the Astros!
