Jannifer

Jannifer Rice retired in 2026 after a distinguished 30-year career in choral music education, including 25 years as Associate Choral Director at Midway High School. Her choirs consistently earned UIL Sweepstakes and multiple Best of Class awards. Under her direction, the Midway Varsity Treble Choir performed at the 2021 TMEA Convention and was named Grand Champion at the 2025 Festival di Voce.

Jannifer helped lead a thriving program of 250–300 students, known statewide for excellence and All-State achievement. A Baylor University graduate and former member of the A Cappella Choir under Dr. Hugh Sanders, she was repeatedly honored as a Distinguished Educator by Midway seniors.

She and her husband, Jeff, taught together for 25 years and are proud parents of three adult children and seven grandchildren.
