Amy

Veteran choir director Amy Moore has 30 years of experience in choral music education and is known for program building, high-level choral performances, and mentoring teachers. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Baylor University and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Lamar University.

Throughout her career, choirs under Moore’s direction earned numerous honors and distinctions, including two invited performances at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) convention—first in 2009 with a middle school tenor-bass choir and again in 2024 with a varsity middle school choir. She was twice named Teacher of the Year on her campus, receiving the honor in 2008 and again in 2016.

Moore is a frequent presenter of professional development sessions at state conventions and for school districts across Texas. She remains actively engaged as a choral coach, clinician, and mentor, working closely with choir directors to strengthen pedagogy, rehearsal technique, and overall program development.

She resides in Houston with her husband, Greg, and is a proud mom to a family that includes three grown sons and a daughter-in-law. Outside of her professional work, she values time with family and remains actively involved in supporting choral music education across the state.
